DIPLOMA THESIS Comparison of Case Studies of Methods Used for Students with Mild Mental Disability at Primary Schools and Primary Schools Established under Paragraph 16, Section 9th Education Act Jindřiška Papežová ABSTRACT The diploma thesis deals with comparison of the application of possible support measures for pupils with mild mental disabilities in primary schools and primary schools established pursuant to Article 16 (9) of the Education Act. The aim of the work is to point out available support and the use of support measures in the context of education of pupils with mild mental disabilities in primary schools and primary schools established pursuant to Article 16 (9) of the Education Act. This issue is interconnected with inclusive education. The diploma thesis is divided into a theoretical part and a practical part. The theoretical one aims at specifying the concept of mild mental retardation and defining a pupil with a mild mental disability in the context of education. Possibilities of inclusive education within the 1st stage of primary school

The thesis entitled "Possibilities of Inclusive Education in Primary School" discusses inclusive education with a closer look at its application in primary school. The theoretical part of the thesis focuses on defining the concept of inclusion and terms related to it, introduces the background and principles of inclusive education and describes international conventions and national regulations that are central to the application of inclusion in the Czech environment. The thesis shows the principles of implementation of inclusive education in the Czech Republic and offers possibilities of evaluating the pro-inclusiveness of education. The second chapter of the theoretical part is devoted to the education of pupils with special educational needs in primary school, presents the system of education of these pupils and focuses on the actors in inclusive education - pupils, teachers and teaching assistants. The diploma thesis "Inclusive education with a focus on the pupil with a different mother tongue" is divided into two parts. The theoretical part is based on the basis of a professional literary research of the chosen issue, in which the author focuses on the pupil with special educational needs from a different socio-cultural environment, on a pupil with a different mother tongue who is educated at a regular primary school. In the introductory theoretical part, the author deals with migration, multiculturalism and briefly introduces the country, the national minority, where the student with a different language comes from. The author also includes an explanation of the terms such as intercultural identity, communication-language and integration of foreigners to this topic. In the second chapter of the theoretical part of "Inclusive education" of the pupils with specific educational needs, the author focuses on pupils with a different mother tongue. Vzdělávání žáků s poruchou autistického spektra na SŠ

This thesis deals with autistic children’s education at vocational schools. The theoretical part defines and specifies autistic spectre learning disorders (ASD) and also provides etiological description, classification and symptomatology, describing behavioural patterns typical for autistic spectre subjects. Further on, it looks into education of ASD children within their families and defines inclusion and integration. Individual study plan description is included also looking at the role of pedagogical assistants and further supportive measures such as ASD modified curriculum and integration processes. All that is abstracted from printed and online resources, legislation and laws which are analysed and synthesized. In the practical part, data is collected from ASD children’s parents asking their opinions about educational processes relevant for their children as well as their personal experience with providers. Questions concerning specific diagnostic procedures, educational and integrational processes and ASD modified curriculum are asked. Descriptive statistical analysis of the said data is presented.
Support Measures in the Education of Pupils with Special educational Needs

The diploma thesis covers the procedural aspects of the provision of support measures of levels II-V at primary schools in the Žďár nad Sázavou district. It also explores the practical aspects and the support that teachers receive from school counselling centres in order to apply the support measures in accordance with the issued recommendations. The three research questions are: How do the educators evaluate the support provided by school counselling centres? What are the perceived challenges and opportunities for improvement for the educators when working with the school counselling centres? What form of cooperation with the school counselling centres would be most helpful for the educators when implementing the support measures in school? The thesis is divided into two chapters. The first chapter deals with the theoretical background of the thesis. It defines the concepts of younger school age, support measures of levels II-V, pupils with special educational needs, school counselling centres and school counselling facilities. The second chapter is focused on the description of the results of the qualitative research conducted by the author of the thesis. The diploma thesis, which is presented here, is entitled Support measures in the education of pupils with special educational needs due to a different mother tongue (OMJ) in the Kadaň region. The work has a special pedagogical character. The aim of the predented work is to describe and define the approaches most often used in the education of pupils with OMJ in elemetary school from the point of view of pedagogues ant the point of view of the peagogical- psychological counseling center of the given region.Research technique were used for the research: comparison, analysis of the literature used, analysis of anamnestic data of informants obtained by the method of guided interview, test of language skills, analysis of interventions to individual informants within the framework of recommendations of the school couseling facility for the school and case studies of four informants of diferent nationalities.The research was carried out with the help of entrance examinatons of language abilities form the Meta organization. Support in the education of pupils with developmental language disorder in mainstream primary school

This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of developmental language disorder and the support of pupils with this disorder in the educational environment of a mainstream primary school. The thesis focuses on the characteristics of developmental language disorder, its etiology, symptomatology, diagnosis and therapy. It also addresses the specific speech, language and communication needs of school-age pupils and their development in the school environment. In the context of inclusive education, the principles of inclusive pedagogy and the possibilities of primary education for pupils with developmental language disorders are described, including support from school counselling centres and individual education plans. The main aim of the research work was to analyse the possibilities of supporting pupils with developmental language disorder in mainstream primary school. Importance of special class for pupils with mild mental disabilities at regular primary school

The diploma thesis deals with the issue of education of pupils with intellectual disabilities in the environment of regular elementary schools. The aim of the thesis is to describe and verify the system of education in a class set up for pupils with mild intellectual disabilities and to evaluate the importance of this class within a regular primary school. The theoretical part of the work is devoted to the characteristics of intellectual disabilities, deals with school legislation, compares the education systems of pupils with special educational needs in neighboring countries and describes educational procedures and methods in the education of people with mild intellectual disabilities. The practical part is implemented by one of the methods of qualitative research, which is a case study. The research is carried out in the form of observations in the classroom set up according to § 16, paragraph 9, additional information is obtained on the basis of semi-structured interviews with schoolteachers and parents of pupils. The conclusions of the investigation offer the characteristics of the given class, its specifics and possibilities.
Causes Of unfinished secondary school studies of socialy disadvantaged female students

The topic of this thesis is the causes of non-completion of secondary school studies of socially disadvantaged students. The focus is on mapping the causes of three major areas that contribute to the dropout of female students with social disadvantages, namely school, family and leisure time. The thesis is devided in five main chapters, of which the first two chapters are theoretical, while the following chapters are devoted to the empirical part. The first chapter focuses on secondary education and selected specifics of adolescence. This chapter describes the adolescence period, secondary education and subsequently academic failure. The second chapter is devoted to the specificities of education of pupils with social disadvantages, focusing on the causes and problem areas of social exclusion and on systemic support for pupils with social disadvantages. The main aim of the thesis is to find out the reasons for the non- completion of secondary education of girls with social disadvantages.
